About the role
Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Corporate Accountant to join a high-performing finance team in a dynamic, multi-national organization. This role is being created as part of a strategic team upgrade, making space for a high-potential individual to step into a role with visibility and room to grow. Reporting to a highly engaged Senior Accountant, you’ll be joining a team that values curiosity, problem-solving, and people who challenge the status quo. Responsibilities:
- Support month-end close activities across multiple entities and currencies
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers
- Assist in financial statement preparation under IFRS
- Work closely with internal teams across regions to coordinate accounting inputs
- Help identify and implement process improvements that reduce complexity or duplication
- Support audits and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Contribute to special projects related to systems, reporting, and controls
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to streamline processes and drive efficiency
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the finance leadership team
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a global or multi-entity environment
- Solid understanding of IFRS and functional currency concepts
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Experience working with foreign currencies or international operations is a strong asset
- CPA designation in progress or interest in pursuing
- Candidates from large organizations or public practice
