Role: Senior Go Developer (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Payout: Competitive, based on experience
Role Overview: This contract role requires a Go Developer to build and optimize microservices for a global platform serving AI and technology professionals. The position involves designing scalable backend systems that support real-time data processing and integration with external APIs. This work directly impacts the performance and reliability of a platform used by thousands of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Go microservices using best practices in concurrency, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, idiomatic Go code and contribute to architectural decisions for backend systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
- Optimize system performance by profiling, benchmarking, and refactoring existing codebases.
- Document technical specifications, APIs, and deployment processes for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience writing production-grade Go code in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Go (Golang) and familiarity with the Go ecosystem, including tooling like Go Modules and Delve.
- Experience with RESTful API design, HTTP servers, and JSON serialization in Go applications.
- Knowledge of database systems, including SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
