Job Description You will be part of a department which is responsible for providing services and support for the group's IT infrastructure worldwide. In the Americas region, including the United States, Canada, and Central and South America, it provides the services and support necessary for our business and the group's lines of business, with the technology infrastructure essential to support their respective activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in various technical projects involving local and global application, infrastructure, governance, and customer teams. Among the projects you will contribute to are: implementing DNA on campus and deploying ACI in primary data centers.
- Provide Level 2/3 operational support.
- Ensuring monitoring during business hours;
- Communicating daily morning monitoring reports;
- Improving operational processes and documentation;
- Participating in on-call duties outside of business hours;
- Managing incidents: detection and communication during business hours, management of Level 2/3 incidents and problems;
- Manage requests: prioritize daily requests and their execution;
- Manage changes: deliver changes outside of business hours, including weekends, peer review of change configurations with Level 3;
- Contribute to the network automation initiative.
Qualifications
- 5 years of practical experience in data network operations and/or network security;
- Good working knowledge of: Cisco Catalyst 9k/6k/4k/3k, Nexus 9k/7k/5k/3k/2k2, STP, HSRP, VDC, VPC, VLAN, LACP, OTV, ISR/ASR routing platforms, OSPF/BGP/MPLS, Multicast, DWDM telecoms technology;
- Solid knowledge of ITIL and IT infrastructure management best practices;
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties including nights and weekends as required by the team (approximately once a month)
Additional Skills
- Good knowledge of Cisco ACI or willingness to learn;
- Unix system management and scripting skills: Python & Ansible, GITHUB;
- Knowledge of network tools: Shinken/Nagios;
- Network probe: Corvil;
- Matrix switches: Gigamon, Arista;
- Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Cisco ASA firewalls;
- NAC
- WiFi
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, DEC, or equivalent technical certifications;
- Asset: Cisco CCNP/CCIE certification
Excellent communication skills in French and English. The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required as the person in this position will regularly collaborate with colleagues and clients located outside Quebec.
