What you will do

The Business Development Manager will drive profitable growth by managing and developing key consumer sales accounts through strategic sales planning, strong customer relationships, and cross‑functional collaboration.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key contacts
  • Create, negotiate and implement a customized, detailed sales plan for all customers and follow ups
  • Regularly communicate with customers to plan and achieve growth objectives
  • Meet the sales budget for each customer (number of cases and cost)
  • Be responsible for all financial aspects related to managing their account portfolio
  • Act as the key contact for all supply chain- and logistics-related issues
  • Stay on top of all marketing / trade marketing initiatives and share them in a timely fashion with customers
  • Work with the Credit and Accounts Receivable Department to maintain accounts.
  • Complete required reports in a relevant and timely fashion
  • Work closely with the Category Development team to manage categories and fully leverage brand promotion opportunities

What you will bring

  • 1-3 years’ sales experience at head offices and/or in merchandising, working in the grocery, mass merchandizer, club store, and drug retail trade.
  • Post-secondary degree from either a university or college required.
  • Disciplined, demonstrated professional ethics, and a true passion for sales.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, working in a highly competitive business environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • The incumbent must possess strong organization, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual (EN/FR) considered an asset.

The starting range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 – or higher, depending on your experience.
