The Team Supervisor – Line Maintenance is directly responsible to coordinate and supervise the Maintenance activities required in order to provide serviceable aircraft that meet operation requirements while satisfying Transport Canada and Air Canada standards of airworthiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all line maintenance activities to ensure aircraft are released safely, on time, and in full compliance with Transport Canada and Air Canada airworthiness standards.
  • Assign, direct, and support technicians during live operations to maintain workflow efficiency and meet operational requirements.
  • Plan and control maintenance tasks in real time, adjusting manpower and priorities to support the flight schedule and minimize delays.
  • Manage resources, tooling, parts, and documentation to ensure the team can meet workload demands with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and human factors best practices to protect employees and assets.
  • Report and document incidents, hazards, and maintenance irregularities in the required systems to support safety investigations and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Operations Control, Operations Managers, and other Team Supervisors to resolve aircraft serviceability issues and ensure clear operational alignment.
  • Lead on shift communication to keep technicians informed of task priorities, changes, safety concerns, and operational constraints.
  • Support performance, attendance, and conduct expectations for team members, providing coaching and direction to maintain a productive work environment.
  • Make time critical decisions impacting aircraft dispatch, safety, and resource allocation, ensuring outcomes align with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M2, E or S license or equivalent with the ability to obtain TC certification
  • 5+ years of aviation industry experience.
  • Experience managing a team, or previous airline/MRO experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team concept as facilitator, focus on the team success.
  • Shift work is a requirement for this position.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) & Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit
  • Must have a full valid driver’s license
  • Sound technical and working knowledge of processes, procedures and Information Technology Systems relative to the specific work area.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to support clear direction and effective collaboration.
  • Proven ability to remain composed and effective in high pressure or fast changing operational environments.
  • Solid organizational abilities to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.
  • Solid understanding of Line Maintenance aircraft check procedures considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency with common PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) considered an asset.
  • Consistently demonstrates punctuality and reliability to support the team’s operational performance.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment. Prior to their start date, candidates will also need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.
