About the role

The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support to the HR department and assists with the coordination of HR processes. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their HR skills while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and HR team.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support onboarding of new employees, including organizing onboarding documents, preparing orientation materials, and ensuring accurate electronic filing of employee records.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with benefits administration and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Help coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, letters, and reports as required.
  • Support compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions

  • Part-time hours (22 per week), with flexibility depending on business needs.

  • Office environment, based at the Edmonton Corporate Office, with occasional interaction at different site locations.
