About the role

Carlington Community Health Centre is a non-profit organization committed to improving the health and well-being of diverse communities. Our EarlyON Child and Family Centre provides community-based playgroups and early years programs designed to support the developmental needs of children from birth to age six, as well as their families. We focus on creating nurturing environments that support healthy child development, empower parents and caregivers, and strengthen families through community-based learning.

  • This position required an RECE: you must be registered as an ECE with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • If your are not an Ontario Registered ECE, your application will not be considered.

Role Overview

The Early Childhood Development Worker (ECDW) at our EarlyON Child and Family Centre works as part of a dedicated team to provide high-quality, inclusive early years programming to families with children aged 0-6. The ECDW will deliver playgroups and early years programs that stimulate child development, strengthen parenting skills, and foster positive family dynamics. Using a child-centered, play-based approach, the ECDW will support children’s growth within the context of their families and communities. This position requires working closely with families, caregivers, and other community partners to ensure the program meets the needs of all children, particularly those from marginalized and diverse backgrounds.

The ECDW will ensure that all programs align with provincial guidelines and best practices for early years programming and that they meet sector best practices.
