About the Role

Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting the month-end close process, as well as assisting with various ad hoc projects. The General Accountant will also support the Controller in responding to analytical requests from cross-functional partners.

This position is a 15-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing selected balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis
• Preparing monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Participating in the month-end closing processes
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports
• Collecting, monitoring and analyzing data to assess accuracy and integrity of various transactions
• Preparing and maintaining financial schedules and worksheets
• Assisting with the preparation of audit schedules for the external auditors
• Assisting and performing various ad hoc projects

Qualifications :

• Completion of an accounting/finance degree
• 3 years involved in full cycle accounting
• Strong numeracy and analytic skills
• Good problem-solving and time management skills

• Enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a results-driven, fast-moving environment
• Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP software
• Strong organization, interpersonal and follow-up skills
