As an Associate Professor in Clinical Exercise Physiology, you’ll join our Sport and Exercise Science team and play a key role in shaping learning that makes a real difference. You’ll lead engaging teaching across clinical exercise physiology, with opportunities to contribute to areas such as paediatrics, neurodivergence, First Nations health, cultural awareness and sensitivity, and professional practice in health and exercise. You will:

• contribute to meaningful research by leading projects, supporting emerging researchers and helping to advance the discipline nationally and internationally;
• support high-quality learning and teaching through considered curriculum design and by encouraging both students and colleagues to learn and grow;
• develop and maintain constructive partnerships that strengthen UniSC’s connections across local, national and international communities; and
• play an active role in fostering a supportive, collaborative academic culture and contributing to the ongoing work of the School and University.

You will possess:

• A doctoral qualification in a relevant field and recognised standing in Exercise Physiology, including accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
• A demonstrated contribution to shaping and advancing the clinical exercise physiology field.
• A clear and well-established research program supported by strong outcomes, external recognition, successful HDR supervision and evidence of meaningful impact.
• Experience guiding research culture through mentoring, supporting early career academics and contributing to national discipline or assessment panels.
• A record of effective teaching, shown through thoughtful curriculum design, research-informed practice, leadership in learning and teaching initiatives and recognition for excellence.
• Personal qualities that foster a collaborative, supportive academic environment where students and colleagues can thrive.
• Extensive experience in academic administration within a university setting.
• The ability to build and sustain valuable partnerships across regional, national and international communities that enrich learning, research and engagement.
