GFL Environmental is looking for a Portable Toilet Driver! As a Portable Toilet Driver, you will be responsible for the pickup, delivery, service and maintenance of portable toilets from customer sites (industrial and commercial). The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on the Portable Toilet Truck, ordering and stocking supplies. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting the truck numerous times each day and moving and placing portable toilets, servicing the portable toilets on the customer’s job site and emptying the Portable Toilet Truck in the approved dump station site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Satisfy customer needs for service. Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies.
- Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections.
- Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by the Operations Manager or his/her designate
- Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
- Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal waste water facilities.
- Daily route consists of driving to customer sites, servicing multiple Portable Toilets, Delivery and Removal.
- Perform repairs on the toilets when needed
- Work closely with dispatch
- May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager or his/her designate
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- G license
- Customer service focused
- Responsible individual with positive attitude and sense of pride
- Complete an assigned daily route as assigned
- Heavy lift is required while on job
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks
- Work experience in the portable toilet, waste, recycling or environmental services industries is recommended but not necessary
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
