Job Description

SPLUNK OBSERVABILITY ENGINEER - RESPONSIBLITIES

Observability Platform Administration: Administer and maintain Splunk Observability components to ensure reliable collection and visualization of telemetry data. Manage user access, integrations, configurations, and platform upgrades while ensuring high availability. Metrics Monitoring: Monitor infrastructure and application metrics such as CPU, memory, disk, network utilization, and service health in real time. Create custom metrics and establish

baselines to proactively identify performance issues.

Application Performance Monitoring (APM): Implement and manage distributed tracing to monitor application transactions and user requests across multiple services. Analyze latency, errors, and performance bottlenecks to improve application reliability and user experience. Log and Event Correlation: Correlate logs, metrics, and traces to provide a unified view of system behavior during incidents. Enable faster root cause analysis by linking events across applications, infrastructure, and cloud services. Dashboard Development: Design interactive dashboards that provide real-time visibility into application performance, infrastructure health, and business services. Customize visualizations to support operational monitoring and executive reporting requirements. Alert Management: Configure intelligent alerts and anomaly detection rules to identify service degradation and outages before they impact users. Continuously optimize alert thresholds to minimize false positives and improve response effectiveness. Incident Response Support: Support incident management activities by analyzing observability data and identifying the root cause of service disruptions. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to accelerate incident resolution and recovery. Automation and DevOps Integration: Integrate observability tools with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to automate monitoring deployment and configuration. Develop automation scripts to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. Cloud Observability: Monitor cloud-native environments, including containers, Kubernetes clusters, and public cloud services across AWS, Azure. Ensure application availability, scalability, and performance within dynamic cloud ecosystems. Reporting and Governance: Generate SLA, SLO, and operational performance reports for management and business stakeholders. Establish observability standards, data governance practices, and monitoring policies to ensure compliance and consistency across the organization.

Open Telemetry Knowledge on Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible Knowledge on Kubernetes

Years Of Experience

5+ Years of experience on:

Splunk Observability Cloud

Application Performance Monitoring Creating and managing dashboards and alerts Incident Management, root cause analysis Linux/Windows Administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology

Splunk Cloud Certified Metrics User Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin
