The Future Systems and Processes (FSP) program is a multi-year initiative to modernize the university’s finance, human resource, and student information processes and systems (ERP/SIS) and facilitate the adoption and successful implementation of a next-generation platform for long-term operational excellence that best supports our diverse community.
As we create the capacity to support the program, some postings will be for roles within the project itself, while others will be hired to fulfill operational responsibilities so that experienced professionals can focus on planning and implementing the critical improvements that this program will deliver.
The backfill positions, along with FSP program-specific positions, are funded entirely through dedicated project reserves, underscoring our commitment to responsible financial stewardship and long-term planning
Position Details
Do you enjoy navigating the space where operations and technical systems intersect? Do you find yourself acting as a liaison between service-oriented operational teams and technical system teams? The University of Lethbridge has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst within Student Enrolment and Registrar Services a division of Student Affairs. This is an in-person role, based on the Lethbridge campus, with some potential for hybrid arrangements.
Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Student Information Systems, the Senior Business Analyst will understand the inner workings of the Banner Student Information System (Banner) and the various systems adjacent to Banner including InfoSilem, MyCreds, CollegeNet, Ellucian CRM Recruit, Blackbaud Award Management, Orbis and Millenium FAST reporting. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with other Student Affairs professionals to ensure system processes and procedures support the student journey from first point of contact to graduation. The Senior Business Analyst will be the key person responsible for maintaining the user experience of the Student module within the Banner ERP system. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading system upgrade testing, conducting business analysis, process design and for managing, developing, coordinating and implementing projects across Student Affairs. The Senior Business Analyst will interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts within the University to understand current limitations and propose system solutions. Utilizing your strong communication skills you will translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders in presentations and provide impactful user training.
The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
Position Qualifications
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or a related discipline with basic understanding of databases, HTML and SQL. Candidates with progressive experience in a post-secondary environment and a proven capability to operate at a senior functional level are preferred.
The individual must possess strong problem solving, coordination, organizational, written and oral communication skills and must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with faculty and staff is essential.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$65,153.16 - $81,963.08 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$65,153.16 - $98,772.99 annually (APO - Grade 3)
