Currently, Bissell Centre is looking for a Team Lead, Houselessness Prevention to join our dedicated Community Bridge team as we journey with the Community towards an elimination of poverty. How You’ll Make an Impact?
The Team Lead, Houselessness Prevention manages data for the programs, which is used to report to current funders and apply for additional funding. The Community Bridge program provides rapid response interventions to stop imminent housing loss and provide support to increase household protective factors. Supported Referral is an ‘upstream’ intervention intended to reduce inflow into chronic homelessness by providing housing support and financial assistance to single adults and families who may have barriers to accessing housing on their own. This position is based primarily on-site at the agency location, a welcoming, low-barrier environment that serves as a program hub for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Team Lead will engage and support staff with clients on-site, providing accessible, in-person support in a dynamic and often fast-paced setting. Contribute to an interdependent organizational culture. Take an interest in (and contribute to) colleagues’ efforts horizontally in other departments. Lead staff with an expectation of inclusiveness and collaboration within the larger Coordinate and assist with deliveries of household items and basic needs through the FIND program. Organize and deliver financial supports, including cheque drop-offs, for eligible program participants directly to Landlords. Plan and facilitate inclusive programming on-site at the agency location.
Direct supervision of 5-10 full and part-time staff and facilitate team
What You’ll Bring?
Post-Secondary Degree in a related field. Minimum 3 years of extensive employment experience including program development, case management, case supervision, evaluation, project management, and supervisory skills.
