Job Description
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a lean and dynamic corporate finance team with significant exposure to senior leadership. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Corporate Finance Manager and play a key role in multi-entity consolidation, external reporting, and financial analysis. The position is integral to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of the company’s financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Own the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, and related disclosures in accordance with IFRS.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statement footnotes and disclosures, ensuring completeness, technical accuracy, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), including variance analysis, key metrics, liquidity disclosures, and forward-looking commentary.
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit process.
Consolidation & Corporate Accounting
- Perform monthly consolidation of global, multi-currency results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review and validate financial submissions from regional teams, challenging assumptions and ensuring consistency in application of accounting standards.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reports to facilitate internal and external reporting.
- Maintain and enhance consolidation and reporting schedules to support internal and external reporting requirements.
Transaction Review & Process Improvement
- Calculate and post corporate-level journal entries as a key component of the month-end close process.
- Support accounting for significant transactions (e.g., acquisitions, restructuring, financing arrangements, stock-based compensation).
- Analyze and document complex accounting matters, preparing technical memos where required.
- Review, document, and journalize complex transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize efficiency.
Business Support & Special Projects
- Deliver financial insights and guidance to cross-functional business units.
- Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned by senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, automation, and internal controls.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business (required).
- CPA designation (or actively pursuing) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or corporate finance within a public company environment.
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

$80K - $100K, dependent on assessment of skills during the interview process.
