IREN is a leading next-generation data center business powering the future with 100% renewable energy. We build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

We have grown substantially since 2019, from our inception in Australia to now having several facilities across North America and being listed on NASDAQ… and we are just getting started! By joining us, you will be contributing to the future of sustainable high-performance compute and the local communities we strive to have a positive impact on.

The People & Culture Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the People, Culture & Community function during a period of growth and change. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative activities, assisting with the delivery of people programs, and ensuring employees and managers receive timely, accurate, and professional support.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership with minimal direction, and brings curiosity and initiative to building better ways of working. In addition to supporting core processes, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to developing and refining new practices that shape the employee experience.

This is a temporary role expected to last up to 6 months and based on business needs.

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.

  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

  • High capability in reporting, metrics, and dashboards

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

  • A proactive, self-starting mindset — someone who sees what needs doing and makes it happen.

Job responsibilities

  • Keep employee records accurate and up to date in our HRIS & payroll systems.

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding so employees feel supported at every step.

  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs.

  • Prepare HR reports and presentations to help leaders make informed decisions.

  • Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism, care, and confidentiality.

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and processes.

  • Contribute ideas to improve and refine how we work as a team.
