About the role

Our Construction & Equipment Division is currently seeking a Manager, Talent Acquisition in Saint John, NB.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading and managing the recruitment process, ensuring that the division attracts and hires top talent. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to understand hiring needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.

  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, immigration streams and networking.

  • Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and fit.

  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.

  • Evaluate and improve the recruitment process continuously to enhance candidate experience.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors.

  • Prepare and present reports on recruitment metrics and outcomes to senior management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent). Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation (or willingness to obtain) would be an asset.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years recruiting management experience in a high-volume, environment or similar experience managing complex projects/work environments with a diverse employee population.

  • Demonstrated ability within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably HCM Oracle.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
