About the role

The Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for developing clear and realistic scheduler for the procurement phase of construction on ICI and Residential projects of this established General Contractor.

Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project timelines by outlining scope using a structured work breakdown approach, accounting for relevant constraints.
  • Create schedules for pre-construction activities and tendering processes.
  • Plan procurement timelines and design release milestones.
  • Integrate resource allocation and cost data into project schedules when needed.
  • Establish initial project schedules for clients and subcontractors, refining them as necessary.
  • Maintain and update project timelines throughout the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior project leadership to review and validate baseline schedules.
  • Conduct bi-weekly site visits to monitor progress, document findings, and report deviations to the project team and scheduling leadership.
  • Coordinate with field and project management teams to align procurement and construction activities.
  • Participate in progress meetings, assess trends, and provide strategic input on schedule status.
  • Evaluate subcontractor schedules for consistency with overall project timelines and incorporate approved updates.
  • Utilize scheduling tools such as Primavera and MS Project for planning and tracking.
  • Communicate critical path updates and scheduling risks to internal stakeholders.
  • Assess delays and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support delay analysis and contribute to time extension documentation.
  • Assist in developing short-term schedules and assess their impact on master plans.
  • Generate visual progress reports including wall charts and area-specific updates.
  • Prepare monthly reports for both client and internal leadership.

Profile

Qualifications and Background

  • Minimum of five years' experience in construction scheduling.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Skilled in Primavera (P6), MS Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and field operations.
  • Familiarity with scheduling methodologies and industry best practices.
