Languages Program Instructor – Summer School

Hours:
Monday-Friday 9:15 am – 12:15 p.m.
Rate
of Pay: $27.36 per hour
As an Instructor of the International Language
Program, the candidate would provide instruction to students in both English
and the language of delivery and would perform a variety of teaching duties
including:
- Curriculum planning based on Unit Themes
- Classroom management
- Completion of all organizational duties associated with teaching class (attendance, class registers, certificates, lesson preparation)
- Supervision of students in classes and play areas
- Cooperative and collaborative planning with the International Language staff
- Ongoing communication with parents
- Participation in cultural events as determined by the program
The successful candidate should have:

Fluency in language of delivery

Qualifications and experience in second language acquisition would be an asset

Experience within a school and/or community environment involving school aged children
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Exemplary organizational, time and class management skills

Appropriate pedagogical skills
-
An understanding of cultural diversities
