Job Description We are looking for a Junior Systems Engineering Analyst to join our team. This role involves requirements analysis, system architecture, integration testing, and customer collaboration to support the development of advanced defence technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment of working with others on solutions but also enjoys analysis and technical work. In this role you can expect your days to include:
- Perform requirements analysis and definition for new and updated products
- Generate technical documents such as Requirements Specifications, Design Documents, Interface Documents, Analysis Reports, Test Plan/Procedures/Reports for products
- Perform contract/customer requirements analysis/development including traceability to system requirements to functional, hardware and software tests
- Define/perform system architecture, system design, internal/external interfaces, trade studies and technical performance measures for new and modified Acoustic products.
- Performing system integration testing including defining integration tests, lab setup/configuration, test execution and problem troubleshooting and defect reporting
- Define, develop and execute Qualification and Acceptance testing of system requirements in the lab or at customer premises
- Interact with customers including leading discussions, conducting technical presentations/reviews, addressing customer comments/feedback
- Provide support for proposal development by proposing requirements and design for new features
- Analyze new technologies and develop internal processes for toolset
Some shift work may be required to provide ongoing support to customer sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or applicable scientific discipline
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Knowledge of system development processes and lifecycles
- Knowledge of requirements definition and management
- Experience with software and hardware engineering processes and tools
It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
