Job Title:

Team Truck Driver

Main Purpose of the Job:

We are looking for workers that will compliment our team lineup and provide safe haulage of cargo from one point to another that can be delivered and/or distributed to our customers.

This is an hourly position that comes with a shared Benefit Package & Dental after 3 months! Starting wage is posted below and will be discussed with successful applicants.

**This delivery route will begin and end in Nanaimo.**

Reports to:

The Dispatch Supervisor

The Operations Manager

Qualifications:

• Traffic laws/ CVSE regulations/ driving knowledge
• Ability to lift 65 pounds repeatedly throughout day
• Ability to work with a team member
• Has 3tonne and 5tonne driving experience
• Is comfortable putting beds together
• Clean driving record
• No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
• Listening and verbal communication skills
• Dependability

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out safety checks on your vehicle at intervals as required and follow the safety instructions/checklist provided.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Inspect the cargo to check whether it has been loaded correctly.
• Review all the necessary shipping documents and verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Load and unloads trucks, vans, or automobiles.
• Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Ensure that your vehicle is clean inside and out.
• Liaise with staff, Managers, other Team members and clients/customers.
• Take care of your crew mate through team work, team lifting and communication.
• Take care of our Customer's furniture and residence
• Must be able to work extended hours that is typical for this industry
