The opportunity:

The Clinic Development Business Analyst supports the College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CoRS) by leading the development of a comprehensive business case and business model for the Student Led Interprofessional Clinic (SLIC), including analysis of the current clinic operations and the development of scalable models for future clinics CoRS may open. The incumbent will work closely with academic leaders, clinic coordinators, faculty, finance, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, map current and future-state business processes, analyze operational needs, and provide evidence-based recommendations. The role combines business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, data modeling, requirements gathering, and system/process design. This position plays a critical role in helping CoRS plan sustainable clinic operations that align with CoRS strategic goals and support education, research, and community health service delivery.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Management Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field required.
  • Knowledge of university regulations, programs and procedures as they relate to the function/program.
  • Three years of directly-related administrative experience is required.
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into actionable documentation.
  • Experience analyzing and improving business processes, developing business cases, and supporting change management.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with financial modeling or operational planning is an asset.
  • Experience working in clinical, academic, or health-related environments is preferred.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills is required.
  • Ability to interpret stakeholder needs and translate them into functional and operational requirements is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports and present findings to leadership is required.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to elicit information from diverse groups is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively is required,
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus in a busy academic environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and work with discretion and professionalism is required.
  • A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards, quality assurance processes, or regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and staying current on best practices in business analysis and clinical operations.
  • High proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools; familiarity with workflow tools is an asset.
