Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst who will be responsible for supporting a major data conversion project, ensuring accurate migration of information from legacy systems into a new solution. The role requires strong technical skills in data mapping, validation, and reconciliation, combined with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders to deliver a successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Convert data from legacy systems into the new platform using vendor-supplied tools.
• Perform data mapping and identify required transformations.
• Ensure data integrity through validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Facilitate sessions to gather requirements, document specifications, and achieve consensus on data cleanup and configuration.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and conflicts related to data conversion.
• Define approaches for archiving records not migrated.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to support testing and validation.
• Work with stakeholders and vendors to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Assist with deployment of the solution into production.

Mandatory Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years specializing in data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Programmer/Analyst, including work in financial and/or loan systems.
• Technical Skills: Minimum 4 years in SQL Development (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL).
• Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

• Provide project examples of data migration experience, including:
• Migrating complex datasets from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Data mapping between legacy sources and the new system, including transformations.
• Ensuring data integrity through validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Data archiving of records not converted.
• Demonstrate minimum 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Provide project examples of data migration experience with financial or loan systems.
• Demonstrate relevant experience within the last 10 years.
• Provide project examples as a Programmer/Analyst with financial or loan systems, including tools such as:
  • SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, SSMS, Oracle SQL).
  • Microsoft Access.
  • Microsoft Excel.
  • Visual Studio.
  • VB Scripting.
• Demonstrate relevant experience within the last 10 years.
• Provide examples of projects supporting information systems specific to government service delivery agencies.
• Demonstrate relevant project experience within the last 10 years.
• Provide project examples of working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Include collaboration with in-house stakeholders, external vendors, and mixed teams.
• Demonstrate relevant project experience within the last 10 years.
