Reporting to the Manager, RSS Communications, the Communications Consultant is responsible for leading the end-to-end development and execution of strategic communication plans and programs that support internal engagement across RSS audiences. This role requires strong writing, planning, and impacted party engagement skills to deliver communications that drive awareness, understanding, and connection across the organization. It requires strong attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

How you will create impact:

  • Create strategic communication plans, including large-scale, cross-company, multi-functional and multi-phased projects, and initiatives. As required, work with business partners to guide and coordinate supporting communication activities.
  • Consult with business partners to determine their objectives and establish the scope of their requirements. Develop creative recommendations and strategic solutions for communication programs targeted to corporate and advisor audiences.
  • Lead the execution of all plan elements, including measurement, ensuring programs and projects are successfully delivered on time and on budget.
  • Write and edit content for a wide range of communication initiatives and mediums (i.e., internal publications, video scripts, intranet, etc.).
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to leaders in Retail Sales & Service, including the development of key messages and positioning through organizational changes, to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Support the development and delivery of executive visibility plans.
  • Support critical issues communications.
  • Monitor and apply communication best practices and current/emerging trends.

  • You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.

To join our team:

  • At least 7 years of business experience providing communication consultation, planning expertise and project management skills, to a variety of corporate projects and initiatives.

  • Proven experience in consulting with business partners, and in the development and execution of communication strategies, with demonstrated results.

  • Highly skilled writing, editing and research skills; the ability to perform these tasks quickly and to deadline.

  • Strong attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
