The Ministry of Highways is seeking a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to accuracy, detail and flexible hours to join the Highway Hotline unit within the Operating Standards Branch.
The Ministry is seeking self-motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and collaborative individuals to work in the Highway Hotline. The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline provides up-to-date and accurate road information to over 60 million hits on the ministry’s website and mobile application annually so drivers can make informed decisions and get home safely. Applications are now being accepted for fifteen (15) exciting opportunities to join our team for the 2025-2026 winter season. Four (4) positions work full-time hours, while eleven (11) of the positions (part-time/casual) work less than full-time hours. All positions are subject to shift work 24 hours per day, 7 days per week including statutory holidays.
In these positions, the successful candidates will perform a variety of program functions using Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and databases. You will respond verbally and in writing to inquiries and information requests from staff, media, and the public on the safety and conditions of our Saskatchewan highways; participate in the composition, preparation, production and dissemination of provincial Hotline reports; and administrative duties such as analyzing, reviewing, entering data, retrieving data and records keeping.
To be effective in this position, you will have excellent verbal/written customer service skills, demonstrate leadership abilities, be able to assess and achieve required tasks and results within established timelines in an environment with changing priorities, tight deadlines, multiple reporting relationships, and constant interruptions. You will excel working in team environments and with minimal supervision. Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be gained and demonstrated through related experience.

Criminal Record Check Requirement**:** The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment
