Who Are You? You are an experienced, strategic, and highly creative designer who knows how to turn business goals into compelling visual work. You bring strong design instincts, technical skill, and creative judgment to every project, whether you are building a brand concept, designing a website, creating ad creative, developing campaign assets, or improving the visual experience across digital and traditional channels. You are confident presenting your ideas, receiving feedback, managing multiple priorities, and working closely with cross-functional teams to produce polished creative that looks great and performs well. What's the Role? The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality creative work across complex, high-value, and enterprise-level client projects. This role goes beyond day-to-day design execution by supporting creative direction, managing client production needs, improving departmental processes, contributing to training and best practices, and bringing design expertise into product development conversations. The Senior Graphic Designer helps create visual assets that elevate client brands, support campaign performance, and contribute to measurable marketing outcomes across websites, advertising, social media, email marketing, landing pages, print, and other creative channels. Duties & Responsibilities Product Execution Produce high-quality visual designs from concept through final delivery, creating compelling brands and visual assets across print, digital, social media, websites, email marketing, and advertising campaigns. Design landing pages, ad creative, marketing collateral, and campaign assets that support lead generation and conversion objectives. Maintain brand consistency while adapting creative approaches to different audiences and marketing channels. Apply creative thinking and innovative problem-solving to develop fresh concepts and campaign ideas. Stay current on visual design trends, social media best practices, user experience principles, and emerging creative technologies. Continuously refine skills and capabilities to elevate the quality and effectiveness of creative deliverables. Performance Marketing & Conversion Optimization Design Collaborate with media strategists, content teams, and account managers to create data-informed creative assets that improve marketing performance and business outcomes. Design and implement creative concepts for A/B testing initiatives across digital assets. Analyze creative performance and testing outcomes to continuously improve design effectiveness. Department Process & Training Development & Maintenance Assume responsibility for developing, documenting, testing, updating, and maintaining departmental processes, workflows, best practices, and training materials. Develop and deliver training programs for team members, ensuring consistent execution of creative standards and operational processes. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to improve team efficiency, scalability, and overall creative quality. Support the ongoing evolution of creative workflows and production methodologies. Client Production Management Manage project scope, timelines, priorities, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and at a high standard. Effectively communicate project status, creative rationale, and recommendations to internal teams and clients. Collaborate with client teams and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, target audiences, and performance goals. Oversee and manage external contractors by assigning work, providing creative direction, and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality standards are met. Product Development Support Actively participate in product development discussions, collaborating with leadership to innovate, improve, and expand service offerings. Provide creative expertise and market insights that contribute to the development of new products and solutions. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, design trends, and creative approaches to strengthen company offerings. Required Experience & Skills Must-Have: Legally able to work in Canada and located in Calgary, AB Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field 5+ years of graphic design experience, preferably within a marketing agency or performance marketing environment. 2+ years in customer service, hospitality, or client relationship management Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma Able to give and receive constructive criticism. Exceptional communication and presentation skills Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and current design trends Proven experience in managing multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines Demonstrated capability to resolve complex design challenges Works well under pressure and has proven stress management techniques Autonomy without the fear of asking questions Nice-To-Have: Knowledge and experience in Content Creation and Photography would be an asset Basic video editing skills would be an asset Senior Living industry knowledge Who is POD Marketing?
