About the role

Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect elevators, lobby areas, public washrooms, stairwells, and offices.
  • Restock housekeeping carts with linens and amenities, remove dirty linen, and dispose of garbage.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, such as delivering iron boards, pillows, or cribs.
  • Perform heavy-duty cleaning projects, including carpet shampooing, moving furniture, and washing walls or windows.
  • Report maintenance issues (e.g., broken lights, broken furniture) to management and adhere to safety policies.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift/carry heavy items (frequently up to 50lbs/20kg)
  • Availability to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping management preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective English verbal skills to interact with guests and staff. Knowledge of French will be an asset.
  • Must have a valid Canadian work permit or citizenship.
