Job Summary:

The Country Procurement Lead (CPL) is responsible for managing procurement strategies for CBRE GWS in Canada and overseeing the implementation of platform procurement initiatives. The successful candidate will finetune and manage a fit-for-purpose supply chain in close collaboration with procurement counterparts on various Enterprise Accounts. The ideal candidate should understand facility management services, have experience in category management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Supplier Performance Measurement (SPM), and be familiar with P2P and e-procurement systems. We are looking for a collaborative individual with an analytical mindset, strong workload management and prioritization skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and put in place complex contracting and procurement strategies and roadmap based on business goals and serve as the country subject matter expert (SME) for all areas relating to sourcing.
  • Serve as an urgent and high-level point of contact for the business and its leaders in-country.
  • Support GWS Enterprise Accounts in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and quality improvements across facility management services, including janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, food services, waste management, and more.
  • Build a fit-for-purpose supply chain in Canada that includes a balanced mix of Strategic, Preferred, local, and Diverse suppliers and actively collaborate with client accounts to consolidate spend with those vendors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sourcing partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver sourcing services and achieve business objectives.
  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in different Procurement areas.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipate potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Act in the best interest of the country business in parallel with overarching corporate sourcing and supply chain strategies, programs and initiatives to meet client and corporate objectives.
  • Develop and implement performance management, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance contracts and services.
  • Drive the roll-out of new procurement systems and tools in Canada.
  • Actively engage in supply chain transitions associated with new and expanding client real estate portfolios and ensure smooth account openings, leveraging CBRE's preferred partner panel.
  • Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
  • Regularly report to country leadership on progress on procurement KPI’s, along with their relative impacts on the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility, preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and quality improvements in procurement.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, database reporting, and contract management tools.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
