Job Description
- Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence.
- Greet, assist, and direct staff and visitors as needed.
- Protect clients, property, and assets by carrying out assigned duties.
- Perform interior and exterior patrols, respond to emergencies, and assist as required.
- Document and report incidents, investigations, and daily activities.
- Monitor CCTV, enforce access control, and manage keys.
- Support patient watches and enforce hospital policies, parking, and smoking by-laws.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and report deficiencies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when required.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

Immunization Form: - KHSC Immunization Forms
- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
- Steps to get your immunization records:
- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
- Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
- English proficiency (oral & written) is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
- 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

- Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
