Description Position at Torex Gold Resources Inc. The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team as the Manager, Treasury. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the company’s financial stability by managing daily treasury operations, optimizing liquidity, executing foreign exchange (FX) and metal transactions, and managing our corporate insurance programs.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Corporate and Site, interact with senior leaders when needed, and represent Torex in discussions with banks, brokers, and insurers. Torex Gold Resources Inc. is a Canadian mining company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of gold, copper, and silver from its flagship Morelos Complex in Guerrero, which is currently Mexico’s largest single gold producer. The Company also owns the advanced-stage Los Reyes gold-silver project in Sinaloa, Mexico, and recently acquired a portfolio of early-stage exploration properties, including the Batopilas and Guigui projects in Chihuahua, Mexico, and the Gryphon and Medicine Springs projects in Nevada, USA.

Qualifications Education:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations are an asset, but candidates should demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development in treasury or financial risk management.
Experience:
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in treasury management and insurance operations.
- Experience in the mining industry or a capital-intensive sector is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel is mandatory (modeling, data analysis, reporting)
- Exposure to or experience with foreign exchange, hedging strategies, cash forecasting, covenant compliance, and credit facility administration
- Experience collaborating with external stakeholders such as banks, brokers, and insurers
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time-sensitive, high-impact tasks.
- Spanish language skills are considered an asset due to collaboration with Mexico operations
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Operations & Risk Management
- Manage day-to-day treasury activities, including liquidity oversight, cash flow forecasting, cash movements, and short-term investments in accordance with Company policy.
- Monitor metal and FX exposures, recommend hedging strategies, and execute FX and gold transactions.
- Administer credit facilities, including drawdowns, repayments, interest calculations, standby fees, and covenant compliance monitoring.
- Prepare and deliver monthly treasury reporting, including mark-to-market valuations, covenant packages, cash forecasts, and supporting information for internal stakeholders and lenders.
- Ensure efficient cash positioning across entities and propose remediation actions when liquidity or covenant issues arise.
Insurance Program Management
- Lead the coordination of insurance renewals, business interruption calculations, and risk engineering recommendations.
- Work with external brokers and insurers to source, negotiate, and implement appropriate coverages.
- Manage corporate insurance claims and ensure accurate valuation of corporate assets for insurance purposes.
- Provide insurance inputs for financial planning and budget cycles.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify and implement improvements to treasury and insurance processes, models, controls, and reporting.
- Resolve transaction discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Corporate Controller, Mexico Controller, Tax, FP&A, Site Finance, and Health & Safety teams to ensure accurate reporting and effective risk management.
- Engage with banks, brokers, and external partners with professionalism and strong communication skills.
- Interact with senior leadership when required; must be comfortable communicating clearly under time-sensitive conditions.

Torex is an intermediate gold producer based in Canada, engaged in the exploration, development and operation of its 100% owned Morelos Gold Property, an area of 29,000 hectares in the highly prospective Guerrero Gold Belt located 180 kilometers southwest of Mexico City.
The Company’s principal assets are the El Limón Guajes mining complex (the “ELG Mine Complex”) and the Media Luna deposit. The ELG Mine Complex is a 14,000 tpd gold mine which has been in production since 2016 and which comprises three open pits, an underground mine, and a CN/CIP processing plant.
The Media Luna deposit (“ML deposit”) is an advanced stage development project which is located 7 kilometers south of the ELG Complex. Current resource for the ML deposit is 51.5 Mt at a grade of 4.48 gpt Au Equivalent, Torex issued a Preliminary Economic Assessment in 2018. The property remains 75% unexplored.
