Family School Liaison Worker
About the role
East Central Alberta Catholic Separate Schools Division Invites request for the service of Family School Liaison Worker (Request for service 01-2526-BSS) East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division requires one (1) full-time Family School Liaison (FSL) Worker for the 2025-2026 school year, beginning on November 13, 2025, and the contract will terminate on June 26, 2026. FSL Worker employs short term interventions to promote success in school by working with individual students, group of students, and/or families. In addition, FSL worker participates as member of the School Threat Assessment Team and division crisis response team.
The position will provide services to students at Blessed Sacrament School in Wainwright, Alberta.
The Successful Service Provider Must
- possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in human services field
- possesses the ability to communicate well with children, adolescents, and families
- have experience with group work and public speaking
- have training or experience with basic counselling theory and practice conflict resolution/management
- maintain strict confidentiality
- collaborate with school and outside agencies to support students and families
- work well both independently and as part of a team
- be comfortable providing services within Catholic schools
- provide a clean and current RCMP Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Check) and a clean and current Intervention Record Check/Child Welfare Check from the Child and Family Services
- possess a valid Alberta driver's license and reliable vehicle, as travel is required
