About the role
Overview
The Crating & Packing is responsible for the final stage of the signage production process, ensuring that all products are cleaned, protected, securely packaged, and documented for safe and efficient shipping.
Key Responsibilities
Finalizing Production, Cleaning & Protection
- Confirm signage is complete and ready for packing.
- Perform thorough cleaning of each sign to remove dust, debris, and fingerprints.
- Apply protective wrapping to prevent scratches and surface damage.
Shockproof Packaging & Material Selection
- Use shock-absorbing materials (foam, cushions, padding) to protect signs during transit.
- Select appropriate containers, including custom-fitted boxes or crates, based on sign size, material, and fragility.
- Handle large or delicate signs with special care, treating them as fragile items.
Crating Process
- Build custom crates tailored to each sign’s dimensions and shipping requirements.
- Take and store the following photos:
- Finished signage in the shop.
- Signage inside the crate.
- Closed and secured crate.
- Label crates with handling instructions, including any special opening notes.
Documentation & ERP Uploads
- Upload all crate and packing photos to ERP system, under the relevant production task and crating subitem.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, including shipping labels, order paperwork, and crate contents.
Receiver Support & Damage Resolution
- Provide clear documentation and photo evidence to support receiving teams.
- Assist in resolving damage claims by supplying crate and packing records.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

1+ years of experience in crating, packing, or woodworking preferred.

Familiarity with Zoho or similar project management tools is an asset.

Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
