Your Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with Production Leaders and Segment Leaders to set priorities for the shift.
- Manage absences and secure coverage for absences as required.
- Meet with Team Leaders to manage absences and set the priorities.
- Work with Team Leaders and others to make any required problem solving has an owner. Raise unresolved issues using the Shop Floor Management system.
- Manage plant shift performance for safety, quality, productivity and cost as per plant objectives.
- Evaluate and respond to shift head count organization/ overtime requirements as per segment shift priorities.
- Complete accident reports and safety concern forms within the company mandated time frame.
- Manage conformance of shift employees to all production systems as required.
- Manage conformance of shift employees to all quality systems as required.
- Coach, council and discipline employees [including documentation] as required.
- Provide shift performance and inter-shift communication reports to each segment at shift end.
- Provide training to all operators on safety, quality, productivity policies and procedures
- Support layered audit systems.
Your Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred or comparable work experience preferably within Schaeffler
- Minimum of three years relevant experience as a Supervisor/Team Lead preferably within Schaeffler
- Demonstrated leadership skills and business acumen
- Broad manufacturing experience, preferably acquired within Schaeffler
- Good knowledge of production processes, measurement & inspection procedures, production planning and control, budget process, MS-Office and SAP
- Ability to manage and lead team leaders and other direct reports
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience and knowledgeable of Safety and Health systems
