Your Tasks
- Reports according to the currently valid organization-chart.
- Initiate estimation downstream activities and ensure a timely response
- Develop the cost structure and manage contents to prepare an offer in conjunction with the individual specialist departments
- Evaluating engineering changes with regard to feasibility and cost.
- Verifying enquiry documents with respect to producibility
- Optimal method planning on the basis of state-of-the-art manufacturing and simulation programs in the agreed time in accordance with the current Process Development workflow
- Realization and reporting of the project tasks according to PDP
- Storing relevant documents in CIM DATABASE, according to the workflow
- Supporting development/design to ensure production-ready and cost-optimised product design
- Supporting project/customer teams in local region and abroad with regard to cost model
- Participate in the development of the KA standards for his/her department
- Competent contact for other departments such as with Sales, PM, PD & CME with regards to cost estimation items
Your Profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on production technology or a technical education with further training and professional experience in the area of tool making or welding
- Alternatively a qualification as a tool mechanic with subsequent training as an engineer, technician, or master craftsman.

3 years’ professional experience in the area of cost estimation, cost optimization or alike
- Experience as a tool mechanic and cost estimator in the automotive industry is favorable
- Knowledge of the automotive series production process
- Technical knowledge in the field of punching, forming, and joining technology
- Confident user of MS Office
- CIM Database (CDB) skills
- Confident user of special software e.g. CAD or estimation software tools
