About the role
As an Electronic Product Manager, you will play a strategic role in defining, developing, and evolving a portfolio of electronic products, overseeing their entire lifecycle—from product strategy to go-to-market execution.
As part of the Smart Home and Electronics program team, you will actively contribute to the development of comfort control electronic solutions, including thermostats and relays, within a fast-growing environment driven by the energy transition. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure successful product launches while optimizing the performance, competitiveness, and profitability of existing products.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the definition of the product strategy in alignment with the company’s business strategy;
- Analyzing customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements;
- Defining product features as well as functional and technical specifications for both existing product enhancements and new product development;
- Actively participating in new product development, including project follow-ups, testing activities, and cost-reduction initiatives;
- Managing the product lifecycle from launch through growth, maturity, and end-of-life;
- Analyzing the performance of existing products and identifying opportunities for product improvements or new product development;
- Contributing to the go-to-market strategy (positioning, pricing, distribution channels, and communications);
- Collaborating with marketing teams on product launch and promotional campaigns;
- Working closely with sales and customer service teams;
- Developing and distributing the tools required for new product introductions, including promotional materials, training documentation, and sales and customer service support tools;
- Developing and maintaining, when required, strong relationships with suppliers within your product category;
- Providing support to members of the Smart Home and Electronics team as needed.
You are the right person for this role if you have:
- A university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics;
- Strong collaboration, analytical, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills;
- A natural curiosity, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset;
- Bilingual proficiency in both spoken and written French and English to interact with internal teams;
- Availability for occasional travel;
- Comfort working with IoT (Internet of Things) products, considered an asset;
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in a product management role or an equivalent position within a manufacturing environment;
- Knowledge of the go-to-market process for manufactured goods, considered an asset.
