Overview:

We are currently looking for someone to join our corporate team as a Home Support Worker - Program Instructor The role is hybrid model working out of our and Waterloo, ON office. There may be infrequent travel to offices within the province.

The HSW Program Instructor will deliver the HSW course materials in a classroom setting, within a customer focused environment. Through visionary leadership, expert clinical guidance and skilled collaboration, the HSW Program Instructor will work with internal and external partners to position CarePartners as a leader in the delivery of community-based support services in Ontario.

This position would also be responsible for the delivery of CSW Orientation.

This is a 12 month Temporary Casual position.

  • This position offers a competitive compensation range. The salary range is $33.00 to $38.00, and placement within the range will be determined in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.

What The Role Involves:

  • Teaches HSW courses in accordance with approved course content and protocols.
  • Coaches, guides and supports HSW participants throughout the delivery of course materials.
  • Partners with the HSW Program Manager to assess and evaluate the quality of HSW course deliveryand the performance of graduates.
  • Promotes a continuous quality improvement approach to customer service and education.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Modeling, upholding, and contributing to CarePartners core values of patient-focus, integrity, accountability, partnership, teamwork, transparency, respect and innovation.

What You Bring:

  • Current College of Nurses (CNO) Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with NO practice restrictions.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, preferably leading Personal Support Workers.
  • Experience in providing adult education; minimum one year experience in a formal education role preferred
  • Certificate in adult education or instruction considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as an effective facilitator, mentor and preceptor.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a creative learning environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, collaborate, and consult with others in an effective and respectful way.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Proven computer skills, including email, Microsoft office and work scheduling systems
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Regular travel throughout Ontario is required
  • Able to work non-traditional hours
  • Clear Background Check
