Compensation: $22 to $28 hourly, depending on experience

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Silviculture Technician position will have a significant field component and will be responsible for applying technical skills and knowledge when conducting silviculture projects, including tree planting implementation, silviculture surveys, treatment area layout, field assessments.

Must have:

A safety conscious attitude

Enrolled or completed post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 2-3 years of related field experience

Broad understanding of general forestry practices
-
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
-
Silviculture Surveyor Accreditation would be an asset.

Silviculture survey experience, planting supervision and/or planting pay plot experience
-
Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions as this is a field position
