Location: Prince George, 100 Mile House, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, and Nelson, BC

Approximate employment start date: April 1, 2026

Compensation: $22 to $28 hourly, depending on experience

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Silviculture Technician position will have a significant field component and will be responsible for applying technical skills and knowledge when conducting silviculture projects, including tree planting implementation, silviculture surveys, treatment area layout, field assessments.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Must have:

  • A safety conscious attitude

  • Enrolled or completed post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 2-3 years of related field experience

  • Broad understanding of general forestry practices

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

  • Silviculture Surveyor Accreditation would be an asset.

  • Silviculture survey experience, planting supervision and/or planting pay plot experience

  • Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions as this is a field position
