We’re growing ourKelowna-based Electrical teamand are looking for anElectrical Designer / Electrical Technicianwith a passion forhigh-voltage and utility projects. The Role

As an Electrical Designer / Technician, you’ll play a key role in deliveringoverhead and underground electrical distribution designsfor utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and utility clients, you’ll develop accurate drawing packages that meet technical, regulatory, and constructability requirements.

This role offers a strong mix oftechnical ownership, collaboration, and project exposure, with opportunities to grow your expertise in high-voltage and utility systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop, revise, and maintainelectrical distribution drawings, including:

    • Single-line diagrams
    • Equipment and layout drawings
    • Grounding plans
    • Conduit and cable routing
  • Support the design ofoverhead and underground utility systemsin accordance withCEC, CSA, and utility standards

  • Assist engineers with:

    • Electrical calculations
    • Equipment selection
    • Material take-offs and drawing packages
  • Prepare complete drawing sets usingAutoCADand client or utility-specific standards

  • Coordinate withengineers, project managers, utilities, and construction teamsto support efficient project delivery

  • Incorporateredlines, field markups, and as-built informationinto final documentation

  • Supportpermitting, regulatory submissions, and technical reviews

  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to schedule and deliverable tracking

  • Follow Lauren’squality, safety, and document control procedures

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement ofdrafting standards, templates, and workflows

What You Bring

Education & Credentials

  • Diploma inElectrical Engineering Technologyor a related discipline
  • Eligibility for, or active registration with, a provincial technologist association (e.g.,ASTTBC) is an asset

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency inAutoCADfor electrical and utility design
  • Experience preparingsingle-line diagrams, layouts, and construction drawings
  • Knowledge ofelectrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground installations
  • Familiarity with theCanadian Electrical Code (CEC), CSA standards, and utility requirements
