Client: Public Sector
Location: Remote - Canada
Duration: 7 weeks initial with a likely 6-month extension

Background Kyndryl is seeking a Senior Business Analyst consultants to support several key transformation initiatives with one of our public sector clients. These initiatives span Asset Management Procurement, Asset Data Migration, and Asset Warehousing operations.
This role is ideal for consultants with strong business-process analysis, client-facing facilitation, and ITIL-aligned service management experience. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand current-state processes, define future-state requirements, and support the development of documentation, SOPs, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst or Process Analyst.
- Strong experience in Asset Management, Procurement, Warehousing process and ITIL practices design.
- Demonstrated experience supporting data migration initiatives (mapping, cleansing, validation).
- Advanced skills in process documentation (BPMN, Visio, etc.).
- Strong familiarity with ITIL v4 practices; certification preferred but not required.
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, comfortable working with senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Consulting mindset — proactive, structured, and able to operate with minimal direction.
- Experience with BMC ITSM / BMC Helix platforms (incident, change, asset, and service request modules). Preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience in ServiceNow or other ITSM/ITAM ecosystems. Preferred, but not mandatory
- Public sector or government consulting experience. Preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience developing SOPs and operational readiness frameworks. Preferred, but not mandatory
Expected Tasks
- Business & Process Analysis
- Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders to document current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop future-state business workflows, user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate complex operational needs into clear, actionable documentation for both business and technical teams.
- Asset Management Workstreams
- Analyze and document processes across:
- Procurement and acquisition workflows
- Asset Data Migration (mapping, cleansing, validation support)
- Warehousing, handling, cataloging, and distribution
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to strengthen asset lifecycle management.
- ITIL Alignment & Process Improvements
- Evaluate operations using ITIL best practices, especially for IT Asset Management (ITAM), Request Fulfillment, Change Enablement, and Service Catalog workflows.
- Recommend process adjustments to align SNB with ITIL v4 standards.
- Support the creation of governance structures, roles, and accountability models.
- Documentation & SOP Development
- Produce high-quality SOPs, process maps, business requirements, RACI charts, and reference materials.
- Support the creation of training content and knowledge transfer materials for operational teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and reviews with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to leadership and project stakeholders.
- Support change management and adoption as future-state processes are implemented.
