The role

  As Director, Marketing Channel Strategy & Operations, you will be accountable for owning the end to end campaign operations process focused on accelerating operational excellence across marketing channels and centres of excellence. This role combines strategy, cross-functional transformation, and systems/operational enablement to improve speed to market, quality, and control outcomes. You will own and evolve channel operating models, governance and performance routines, and enable teams to execute consistently at scale. This function will lead a team of project managers who support digital channel delivery across agile marketing squads across all businesses.  We are seeking a strategic, motivated and curious leader who gets excited by process optimization, and galvanizing change across teams. This individual will be responsible for elevating campaign operational excellence across teams, striving for continuous optimization across people, process and technology. This is a highly visible role with accountability to senior leadership and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Product, Technology, Data, Risk/Compliance, Legal, and Operations).

Campaign & Process Operational Optimization

Lead cross-functional transformation to redesign campaign delivery processes and tooling, improving scale, cycle time, and quality across marketing channels. Defining the vision for future state campaign process, and overseeing cross functional projects to enhance speed to market and flawless cross-channel execution of campaigns. Managing and maintaining source of truth for E2E campaign process workflow mapping and documentation and implementing training and change management programs and resources to standardize and scale best practices across squads and channel COEs. Defining feedback loop process in campaign cycle including identify recurring bottlenecks and failure points; implement root-cause fixes (process, controls, training, automation) and measure impact through clear operational KPIs.

Lead the Issues Management Task Force for marketing channels—managing communications and resolution of campaign related issues, driving root-cause resolution, control improvements, and sustained operational performance

 

Project Management Leadership, Governance & Risk Management

Elevate project management functional expertise, leading a team of digital channel delivery experts. Strong people leadership competency supporting effective goal setting, coaching, feedback, and performance management; foster a culture of operational rigor, continuous improvement, and strong risk mindset. Lead and influence cross-functional teams to improve marketing operating performance (e.g., reduce campaign defects/issues, improve throughput, strengthen controls, and accelerate speed to market). Represent and drive cross-functional executive-sponsored initiatives by aligning stakeholders on scope, trade-offs, and decisions; establishing clear milestones; and ensuring accountable delivery of outcomes. Support wider transformational roadmaps through process enablement and effective project management support as required at a campaign and program level Define and run governance frameworks for marketing channels (intake/prioritization, stage gates, QA, approvals, control checks, documentation) to enable scalable and compliant execution, leveraging leading marketing technology (ie. Adobe Workfront Planning) Own marketing issues and risk management routines (issue intake, severity assessment, remediation plans, sustainable fixes, and leadership reporting) to protect customers and keep the bank safe.

 

Digital Channel Centres of Excellence (CoE) Strategy Enablement

Translate business and marketing strategy into actionable operating plans (intake, prioritization, capacity, delivery cadences), frameworks, and governance to deliver against channel and campaign targets. Build and evolve channel operating models, playbooks, and enablement (roles/RACI, stage gates, QA standards, documentation, training) to support sustainable transformation and growth. Establish best practices and performance standards across centres of excellence including establishing and supporting operational reporting & insights for executive leadership

  Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:  

8+ years of experience in process governance or operations, marketing or channel operations, digital marketing, and/or enterprise operations roles. Demonstrated strength in program/project management (Agile and/or waterfall), including building governance, plans, issue logs, and executive-ready status reporting. Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including defining operational KPIs and using data to prioritize and drive decisions. Excellent executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across senior partners. Experience with people and practice leadership, including coaching and developing talent; prior direct people management experience is required Comfort leading through ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a continuous improvement and control-minded approach. Experience designing and improving end-to-end processes, ideally across multiple channels. Working knowledge of risk, controls, and compliance in marketing (e.g., approvals, record keeping, privacy/consent, fair advertising), including experience running issue remediation and governance routines. Strong AI acumen and leveraging AI capabilities to optimize workflows is an asset Preferred: Experience with MarTech and workflow tools (e.g., campaign management, email/service providers, CRM, tagging, DAM, work management tools) and driving automation/standardization
