As a Deep Foundations Welder within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure team, you will work closely with all team members to ensure the coordination and execution of construction activities. Working on large-scale construction projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the productivity and efficiency of our operations and help drive success across our job sites.

What you will do

Perform welding work on various metal components related to deep foundation activities (piles, rebar cages, temporary structures, equipment, and accessories).

Read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

Assemble, modify, repair, and install various metal components in accordance with project requirements. Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and preparation of materials prior to welding. Inspect the quality of completed welds and make any necessary corrections. Work closely with drillers, operators, crane operators, and forepersons to ensure the efficient execution of work activities. Participate in the maintenance and inspection of welding tools and equipment. Strictly follow health and safety procedures as well as site-specific regulations. Perform any other related duties required to support project operations.

This role could be for you if you have

Hold a valid CCQ competency card. Hold a valid CWB certification. Hold a valid ASP Construction Health and Safety card. Have relevant experience as a Welder in heavy construction, civil infrastructure, or deep foundations. Demonstrate proficiency in various welding processes commonly used on construction sites. Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment. Be available to work variable schedules and travel to different project sites as required.
