BrokerTeam Insurance Solutions Inc. currently has the following position open:

Title: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Reports to: President & Principal Broker

Summary: The primary function of this position is to oversee and manage all aspects of the Personal Insurance and the Business Insurance departments; with a focus on improving internal processes, and providing prompt, accurate and professional assistance to our sales team in their effort to promote customer satisfaction and retention.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Personal Insurance and Business Insurance teams of employees including training, motivation, development, performance appraisal, attaining and tracking the goals and key performance indicators, weekly time keeping, and performance reviews & salary recommendation.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budget.
  • Provide technical knowledge and expertise to producers and company personnel, specifically in analyzing clients’ needs and recommending appropriate coverage. This may include development and education of staff and, as appropriate, producers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partnered insurance carriers.
  • Develop, manage, and execute the personal lines underwriting strategy.
  • Quality and service standards, including process and workflow improvement.
  • Acts as liaison between producers and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex issues that may require policy interpretation and experience based judgment to resolve.
  • Document and resolve escalated client complaints, problems and concerns.
  • Assist to resolve claim related issues as necessary
  • Participate in setting new business targets and retention goals

  • Engage with the industry at large by attending or otherwise taking part in industry events.
  • Keeps informed regarding industry information, new producer information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
