Classes Offered onsite : Daytime (Mon - Fri) and Evening hours (Mon, Wed, Fri from 4pm- 9pm)

The Lester B. Pearson School Board’s Continuing Education department is seeking qualified candidates for part-time and full-time teaching positions in the Accounting Studies (Bookkeeping) program at the Pearson Adult and Career Centre (PACC). This program leads to the DEP (Diplome d’etudes professionnelles) and prepares students for the job market at entry level.

Qualifications

  • DEP/Post Secondary Diploma in Accounting Studies
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping /accounting clerk duties
  • Proficient at using Excel
  • Knowledge of Sage 50
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to teach business French as a second language (oral /written) – is an asset

Responsibilities

  • To prepare lesson plans appropriate to the adult students concerned and the subject content
  • To pilot teaching/learning situations appropriate to the adult students concerned and the subject content
  • To evaluate adult students, progress in learning the subject content
  • To plan, organize and supervise the class in such a way as to promote student learning
