Job Summary:
The Retail Sales Lead is responsible for supporting the Retail Manager in maximizing sales and profits, providing a positive and dynamic visitor experience for members and guests while maintaining all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the retail channels. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervise store operations and personnel in absence of Retail Manager, opening and closing of the store, POS and e commerce operations, inventory management and visual presentation.
Job Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding customer service and a welcoming shopping experience to all members and guests
-
Motivate and inspire staff to meet or exceed personal and store sales targets
-
Stay current with policies, procedures, new products, promotions, and events while assisting in driving operational activities that generate sales
-
Keep staff up to date of policies, procedures, new products, promotions, and events
-
Lead in the recruitment, on-boarding and orientation of staff
-
Lead in the creating and editing of the staff schedule, ensure there is always adequate coverage
-
Participate in product planning, sourcing, selecting and merchandising
-
Maintain store operation standards by ensuring accurate and timely processes with the following: opening and closing, POS and e commerce transactions, inventory management and marketing

Maintain store merchandising standards and visual expectations (i.e. new product rollouts, visual merchandising, replenishment, store housekeeping and maintenance)

Work collaboratively with other Oval Team members and departments to meet organizational goals
-
Adhere to all policies and procedures including loss prevention guidelines
-
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
-
Highly enthusiastic and energetic team player who drives performance towards outstanding results with excellent communication, people management, organizational and time management skills
-
Minimum 2 years retail leadership experience with emphasis on customer service and generating sales
-
Ability to effectively balance competing priorities with a customer service focused mindset
-
Proven record of accomplishment of working independently and in a team environment
-
Strong visual merchandising presentation skills in a retail environment
-
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, and weekends
-
Ability to exercise initiative and make decisions in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and policies established by the Richmond Olympic Oval
-
Proficient in using Shopify and Microsoft 365 including Outlook, SharePoint, Planner and Teams
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-
Fluent in English is required. Mandarin/Cantonese is an asset

Valid Standard First Aid an asset

Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
Salary and Benefits: $40,569- $50,954 per annum (Dependent on experience and qualifications). We provide a comprehensive extended health and dental plan, in addition to an individual Health Spending Account, Paid Sick leave, Vacation, Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) and awesome Oval Perks including access to fitness, ice, courts, Metro Vancouver’s tallest climbing wall and other Oval amenities!
Employment Type: Regular Full-time (37.5 hours per week). This role is primarily Tuesday to Saturday with the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
