Tasks
Interpret welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC) Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

L.P. Custom Machining Ltd. was established in 1991 and currently has 2 manufacturing sites; located in Stoney Creek, Ontario & Elmira, Ontario. LP has been a Tier 1 supplier to many Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) multinational organizations and maintains a quality accreditation of AS9100D. The core competency of the business is manufacturing medium to large complex casting, forging and fabricated alloy materials to engineered specifications. This combined with a qualified supplier base of our own, we provide a turnkey product to our customer, often ready to go straight into their assembly. Whether that be a gas turbine, windmill, hydro turbine, or nuclear power plant, many times our customer will rely on our continued level of quality as the final check before moving forward with their build.
