Unposting Date: 2026-07-15 11:59 PM CBC Northwest Territories (NWT) is seeking an associate producer to help chase, write and produce segments for our current affairs programs. We need a team player who brings creativity and initiative, as well as some hands on experience working in a newsroom. We also need someone with experience gathering, editing and producing audio for broadcast. Good writing and communication skills are essential, as is knowledge of the Northwest Territories, its people and its stories. This role requires full-time, on site presence in our Yellowknife newsroom. Qualifications: University degree or equivalent. Minimum two years relevant experience in journalism and media, with radio broadcasting experience preferred. Experience in booking guests, writing question lines and writing and preparing taped segments. Experience performing live on air. Able to meet deadlines, juggle priorities, stay organized and solve problems. Demonstrated knowledge of the Northwest Territories and the pan-northern political and cultural landscape. Able to work flexible hours with potential overtime. The ability to speak a language Indigenous to the Northwest Territories would be considered a major asset.
