Greywolf Equipment is currently looking for a Heavy-Duty Mechanic. This person will work closely with the Lead Hand to ensure our fleet is always maintained and repaired to the highest standards. We take the quality and reliability of our fleet very seriously; our team of mechanics are the most critical to ensure our valued customers have access to top-tier equipment for their construction sites.

This position will start as a 6-month contract. Depending on business needs and the ability of the candidate, there is a strong possibility to move to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems;
  • Small 2 and 4-stroke engines;
  • Welding and fabrication as necessary;
  • Complete work orders and quote customer repairs accurately and promptly.

What you Bring

The ideal candidate is someone who can remain flexible, resourceful, and proactive. This person will bring high-level energy, and a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking. People would describe you as a team member with a ‘get it done’ mentality and someone who would go the extra mile to fix a problem for our clients. This candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently with little or no supervision and in a team environment.

This position requires you to provide your own full set of tools to work on heavy duty equipment.

Skills and Experience

  • At least five (5) years of experience with heavy equipment, preferably with material handling and aerials experience;
  • Knowledge and experience in hydraulic, electrical (AC and DC), and mechanical systems;

  • Experience using computer diagnostic tools;
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
