About the role
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical and customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional support in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, managing various administrative tasks, and supporting our team members effectively. The business is a Post Secondary school.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients and visitors at the front desk.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
- Assist with filing and organizing documents to maintain an orderly office environment.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace for various administrative tasks, including typing, proofreading, and creating documents.
- Support the team with clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while providing administrative support in a medical or dental office setting if applicable.
- Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for proofreading documents.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience working with new Canadians is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Share information about the school's program, market the schools programs, proctor exams and support the students and instructors
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.26-$17.00 per hour
