West Nipissing General Hospital (WNGH), located in the heart of Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physiotherapy Aide to join our rehabilitation team.

The Role
Working under the direction of a licensed Physiotherapist, the Physiotherapy Aide supports the safe and effective delivery of rehabilitation services across the organization.
You will:
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is ready and safe for patient use
- Assist patients during therapy sessions, supporting mobility, exercises, and functional activities
- Monitor and report patient progress or changes in condition to the physiotherapy team
- Maintain accurate documentation as required
- Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Ensure therapy spaces remain clean, organized, and welcoming
- Contribute to a positive and supportive rehabilitation environment
This role requires attentiveness, empathy, physical stamina, and a genuine commitment to patient well-being.

- Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant program
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing meaningfully to a collaborative healthcare team

About West Nipissing General Hospital
The West Nipissing General Hospital is a smaller rural Hospital in Northern Ontario built in 1977. We are fully committed to the delivery of quality primary healthcare to the residents of West Nipissing and surrounding areas by providing clean, modern facilities and excellent support services. We currently have 98 beds (27 Medical/ Surgical, 2 Pediatric, 2 Enhanced Care Unit, 19 Complex Continuing Care and 48 Long-Term Care) plus a 24-hour Emergency Department.
