Summer Production Student
About the role
Position Requirements
- Summer Production Student, $21.00 per hour, overtime after 44hrs/week
- All other employment conditions will follow the Employment Standard Act, 2000
- 7:00 AM/PM– 7:00 AM/PM
- Work days:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Duties
- Operate equipment and complete checks to ensure compliance with production, process & quality specifications
- Observe panel indicators, gauges, other instruments to detect equipment and/or product issues
- Record and adhere to quality specifications related to weight, colour and functionality requirements
- Assist with heat breaks within Production as part of the Company’s Heat Stress Awareness program.
- Perform additional duties as required by Supervision in compliance with relevant legislation and safety procedures.
Ideal
- 18 years of age, and completion of Grade 12 required
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset with the ability to work safely and productively
- Physically capable of standing for long periods of time with the ability to perform repetitive movements
- Good communication, ability to work as a team, and in cooperation with colleagues on a shift of 35+ people
- Reliable with a great attitude.
