Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our Sarnia, ON team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations, allocating orders, monitoring shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Warehouse Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting warehouse efficiency, providing timely updates, and facilitating smooth communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Coordination & Communication
- Communicate with sales and warehouse teams regarding time-sensitive orders.
- Provide daily warehouse updates, record morning minutes, and share workload allocations.
- Assist sales staff by providing accurate order status information.
Documentation & Quality Control
- Scan and file Mill Test Reports (MTRs) for incoming material.
- Conduct tracebacks on outgoing orders and retrieve missing MTRs when required.
- Ensure labels, paperwork, and shipping documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Team Leadership & Support
- Allocate orders to personnel based on skills, workload, and priorities.
- Monitor warehouse operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and monitor yard safety.
- Support development and implementation of improved warehouse systems.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to manage and coordinate people effectively.
- Solid knowledge of warehouse processes including packaging, product placement, and order picking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, saws, banders, recoilers, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM system experience an asset.
- Excellent communication, planning, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to safety.
